Individual Counseling
At some point, life becomes too much for all of us to manage on our own. We come to the end of our ability to make life work and need another to lean on, to know that we don’t have to go it alone. Someone to help bear the weight of being human. Individual therapy is a chance to explore your relationships, cultivate deeper self-awareness, and find support in places that we often hide from others out of fear and shame. In my individual work with clients, I lean heavily on the work of therapists and thinkers like Dan Allender, and his story model, and Irvin Yalom and the theory of interpersonal process. Each one of us has a collection of hundreds and hundreds of experiences that have shaped us over the years. They tell our story. Understanding how all of these experiences have shaped us and influenced how we behave in relationships is critical to the work of individual therapy.
