Meet Susan
As a counselor serving men, women and couples in the Greater Nashville area, Susan Powell enjoys helping people navigate the overwhelm, uncertainty and grief that can arise in relationships and life.
Susan has worked with individuals and couples to address anxiety, shame, trauma recovery, grief/loss, marital issues, spiritual issues, suicidal thoughts, and challenges that come with being a caregiver. Clients have come to Susan in many different places – brokenhearted after a loss, shocked by a betrayal, overwhelmed by the pressures of life, uncertain how to move forward. Susan believes that the therapeutic relationship can offer the safety, connection, and invitation that helps us move toward fuller living and more satisfying relationships.
Susan completed her Master of Arts in Counseling from Covenant Theological Seminary and has since practiced at a counseling agency in the St. Louis area. Susan pursued formal training in counseling after living overseas and providing support for people recovering from trauma. Through her experiences, Susan has seen that growth can come even in the most unlikely of situations.
